MedicX Pharmacy responds to patient needs in Ashton under Lyne

To meet rising patient demand, MedicX Pharmacy Ashton is pleased to announce it is extending the opening hours to ensure the whole community can easily access pharmacy and healthcare services as well as advice at a time convenient to them.

Following its grand opening in December 2010, the new MedicX Pharmacy has already proved a hit with local people, with many taking advantage of the extensive services on offer including; blood pressure measurements; diabetes and cholesterol tests; healthy heart checks, alongside traditional dispensing services and a free collection and delivery service.

Located in Ashton Primary Care Centre, Old Street, next door to Ashton’s Out of Hour Emergency doctor’s service, the extended opening hours will enable patients visiting the primary care centre to quickly and easily pick up their prescriptions at the Pharmacy without the inconvenience of having to travel elsewhere.

The Pharmacy is open seven days a week and its opening hours as of 1 February 2011 are:

Monday to Friday: 08:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 21:00

Saturday: 09:00 to 22:00

Sunday: 10:00 to 22:00
