Great start to the year for MedicX Pharmacy winners

MedicX Pharmacy has run an exciting ‘Recommend a Friend’ initiative to encourage people to use the brand new state of the art facilities at the Rotherham Health Centre, and what better way than to have a recommendation from a friend! As well as the enhanced pharmacy services on offer, the MedicX Pharmacy team have worked hard since opening in August 2009, to provide an excellent new extended hours pharmacy service which is open every day of the year from early morning until 10pm, including all annual holidays.

The team at MedicX Pharmacy helped spread some new year cheer by giving its two lucky Recommend a Friend competition winners, Keira and Marian Cox, £125 worth of vouchers each to enjoy at Meadowhall Shopping Centre.

Steve Jeffers, Director of MedicX Pharmacy, comments:

“In order to raise people’s awareness of our state of the art facilities and extended opening hours, the pharmacy team ran a competition enabling people who use the pharmacy services in the Rotherham Community Health centre to recommended a friend and enter them both in a competition to win £250 of vouchers. Congratulations to Keira and Marian, we hope that the vouchers come in handy.”

The MedicX Pharmacy team all live in Rotherham, giving them added incentive to work with the local community to promote health issues and deliver a fantastic pharmacy service. In addition to the Recommend a Friend competition, the team started a special second-hand book sale at the Rotherham Community Health Centre to raise vital funds for the ‘Help for Oscar’ appeal. Thanks to their energy and commitment, the team raised an impressive £1,200 towards Oscar’s treatment in Austria and are delighted that the operation was a great success.
