MedicX Pharmacy believes in local communities and all our pharmacy teams are encouraged to become involved in local health charities and health promotional activity.
A MedicX community pharmacy is the ideal environment for health promotional activity and we include a large LCD screen and display boards within our pharmacies to encourage people to access health information.
Active sponsorships of local charities, (with a differnt one being chosen each year by the local pharmacy team), is key to our community involvement. As is making our suite of consultation rooms available to local health groups such as Age-concern, RNIB, MIND, Diabetes UK, etc, free of charge. Our business is totally dependant on the quality of the relationships we build with the local community and that is why we place such importance on building long-term partnerships with GP's, other healthcare professionals, PCO's and patient organisations.
