Late night pharmacy to open in Chorley

A brand new, late night pharmacy will be officially opened in Peel Street, Chorley, at a ribbon cutting ceremony on 28 January 2009 at 11.30am.  The pharmacy, located close to the Library House Surgery and near the Fleet Street car parks, was designed by MedicX Pharmacy, part of the MedicX Group, which is dedicated to enhancing the experience of its patients through innovative and practical design.

His Worship the Mayor, Councillor Terry Brown, will cut the ribbon to unveil this state of the art pharmacy, which will be open until 10pm, 365 days a year.  Once his official ribbon cutting duties are complete the Mayor is booked in for a blood pressure test, one of extra services offered by MedicX Pharmacy.

The pharmacy will offer a wide range of services including a lifestyle assessment programme, helping people gauge their current health whilst providing top tips on how to improve and maintain their wellbeing in the future.  A number of additional healthcare services such as acupuncture, aromatherapy and physiotherapy will also be available, alongside an osteopath and podiatrist, details of which will be displayed in store. To book one of these services, please call the Chorley pharmacy team on 01257 754754 or email chorley@medicxpharmacy.com.

There will also be two private consultation rooms, a patient information area including a touch screen health unit displaying local health information, as well as a comfortable seating area, with a large plasma TV screen showing a dedicated TV health channel.
